Everything we'd want to know if we were hiring us.

Most consultancy websites tell you they're collaborative and results-driven. Here is the actual process, the actual terms, and what we won't do.

The first three weeks.

  1. W1

    Access and look

We get read access to your platform and spend time in it — your real setup, not a demo. We talk to whoever administers it and to two or three people who use it. No forty-question discovery form.

  2. W2

    Findings

A written document: what's working, what isn't, what it's costing you, and the three changes that would make the biggest difference. In order. With numbers where numbers exist.

  3. W3

A costed plan, and a decision

Options with prices against them, including the option of doing nothing and the option of doing it yourselves. You decide. If the answer is “not now”, the document is still yours.

Our terms, in advance.

You shouldn't have to reach a proposal to find these out.

Project workImplementation, migration and integration are scoped individually and quoted as a fixed price before anything starts. No day-rate meter running.
Managed administrationFrom £950 per month. Three published ticket-based tiers plus Enterprise arrangements — see Services.
Full health check£1,950 fixed, credited in full against your first retainer month. The first-level check is free.
Extra work£75 per hour, approved in writing first, charged in half-hour blocks. Under 15 minutes isn't counted.
Response timesReplies within one working day. Urgent platform issues — anything stopping learners — the same working day. Full breakdown below.

Planned absenceAt least two weeks' notice of holiday. Urgent items covered by prior arrangement or deferred by agreement.

Notice period30 days, either side. No exit fees.
Who does the workMarc. If that ever changes you'll be told before it does, not after.

Response times in full.

Four priorities, so we both know what “urgent” means before anything is urgent.

PriorityWhat it meansWe respondTarget fix
P1 CriticalPlatform unavailable, learners blocked, or a compliance deadline at immediate riskSame working daySame or next working day
P2 HighSignificant function broken, but there's a workaround1 working day3 working days
P3 NormalA request, change or question1 working dayScheduled by agreement
P4 ScheduledPlanned work, projects and enhancements1 working dayBy agreement

One honest caveat. Red6 is one person. These are commitments we can actually keep rather than impressive numbers we can't — and if your organisation genuinely needs cover outside working hours, or guaranteed response while we're on holiday, you need a team rather than us. We'd tell you that at the first conversation rather than the first outage.

How you raise things.

Everything goes through a ticket, including the things you'd normally just email about.

You get a client portal. Requests are logged, categorised, timed and visible to you — so you can see what's been asked, what's been done, and how much of your tier it used. Nothing disappears into somebody's inbox.

It also means the monthly summary is built from real records rather than recollection. And it does something more useful than that: when the same request comes in for the fifth time, it shows up. That's not an admin task, it's a missing rule — and it goes on a list of things worth automating so you stop paying for it every month.

The goal of the ticket log is to make itself shorter.

What we won't do.

  • Sell you a platform. We don't resell, we're nobody's partner, and we take no commission from any vendor. If that ever changed, this page would say so.
  • Recommend a rebuild when a fix will do. The expensive answer isn't automatically the right one, and a well-configured old system beats a badly configured new one.
  • Disappear behind an account manager. Red6 is small on purpose.
  • Leave you dependent on us. Documentation and administrator training are part of the work, not an upsell. You should be able to end this cleanly.
